Crafting a Better Tomorrow: Volunteer Outreach

Volunteering provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact locally and globally, particularly in low-income schools. By sharing our skills and knowledge, we empower students to discover the joys of sewing and crafting while equipping them with practical and valuable abilities.

Through teaching, we foster creativity, enhance fine motor skills, promote problem-solving abilities, and cultivate a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence among the students. Whether teaching basic stitching techniques, introducing them to diverse crafting projects, or encouraging entrepreneurship, your volunteer efforts can inspire a love for creativity and provide students with transferable skills that can benefit them in various aspects of their lives. Volunteering can make a difference in the lives of young people, opening doors to new opportunities and empowering them to explore their potential in the world of sewing and crafting.

Our first volunteer opportunity occurred at Turnbull Technical College in Iringa, Tanzania. Olivia volunteered with 11 students and helped them make a skirt, zipper bag, and pillow. The students got to learn new skills and expand their knowledge of design.
